Easter weekend part 2

Sorry it has taken so long to get the rest of the Easter pictures from Jonathan's camera.

Payton has been smiling for a few weeks now but we haven't been able to capture it on camera. That was my goal for the weekend, and here is the result.

That smile melts my heart and can make my day instantly better. Here are pictures from the rest of the weekend. Enjoy!

Easter Weekend Part 1

Patyon had a great first Easter! We went to church in Waverly with Bamama and then headed back to Auburn for the rest of the day. Here are a few pictures from Sunday morning. More to come...

My sweet husband

I just wanted to take a minute to brag on how sweet and wonderful my husband is. Let's just start by saying it was quite a week! Yesterday afternoon Payton attended her very first Easter egg hunt. I had to go to Target and Wal-Mart after that to get things needed for school on Friday. I wasn't feeling well, and needless to say was absolutely exhausted when I got home at 7:00. I came home to freshly cut grass, a picked up house, and dinner cooking!! After dinner, Jonathan then took a shower and took over with Payton until 6:00 the next morning! Don't get me wrong, my husband would gladly do any of these things for me any day of the week. It was just that it had been one of those days and it was such a nice surprise to get without me even asking him!! Thanks for being such a wonderful husband and daddy. We love you!

6 weeks

Miss Payton was 6 weeks old yesterday! She is growing and changing so much. I have loved every single minute of being a mommy. I like to think that Jonathan and I picked up the whole parenting thing pretty well, and have honestly enjoyed the past 6 weeks with her. I know many people say the first few weeks are some of the hardest, but she has made it easy. It was so hard to be away from her this past week while I have gone back to school. I feel like I am missing so much. I just live for 3:30 and the weekends!

Happy Birthday Chase!

Chase's 1st birthday was Friday. We celebrated Friday night and also on Saturday. We were so glad to celebrate with him. We were finally able to get all of the cousins together in one place at one time. It was so much fun! Happy Birthday Chase!

I survived

After receiving complaints from the grandmothers about the lack of posts in the past week, I decided I would fufill their requsts. I can't understand why I haven't had time this week...I just have so much time on my hands these days. YEAH RIGHT! Well, I did survive my first full week back at school. Although it was filled with some excitement, it wasn't too bad of a week. The kids are taking SAT's right now so I have very little planning and grading to do, which allowed me to leave almost every day at my new goal, 3:30. My sweet kids want to know every day how much sleep I got the night before. I emphasize with them, not very much, which doesn't make me a very happy person if you don't follow my directions! We'll see how long it lasts!

We went to Foley last weekend to see Jennifer and Ella. It was so much fun just to hang out at the house. Ella is so much fun to watch, she just plays and talks all the time. Payton did get to go to the beach for the first time. She wasn't too impressed. We tried to get some pictures but she had a different plan in mind. Ella on the other hand, would have stayed all day. She just sat on her little towel as happy as can be. Thank you Jennifer and Ella for letting us come visit!
