Beach

I am a little behind on blogging, so just bare with me. We took a quick trip to the beach last weekend. I can't say that we did a whole lot, but we did have a good time getting away from Auburn. Saturday night we walked around the Wharf. Payton loved going down to the pier to look at the "big boats." There were definitely some monsters.

Sunday morning before heading home we went over to the beach for a bit. At first, Payton refused to even stand up. She eventually warmed up and found the water. Although it was a little chilly, we did put our feet in. She especially loved finding sea shells and destroying some poor child's sand castle. Some sweet lady walking the beach came by and offered to take a picture of the three of us. I told her that I can't remember the last time we all got in a picture together. :)

We stopped in Montgomery on the way home for Santa to do a little shopping and visit Pawpaw for a few minutes.

Thanksgiving Breakfast

I got the privilege of actually getting to play mommy for a little bit this morning and go to Payton's Thanksgiving breakfast at her school. I hate that I never get to take her to school, and for that matter, have never even met her teachers. I was so excited to sneak away from school for an hour and let her show me around. Of course I discovered that my camera battery was low right before heading over there, but I did manage to snap two pictures. We are getting ready for a wonderful Thanksgiving next week!

Halloween Festivities

About a week before Halloween, Payton and Ella helped clean out the giant pumpkin that we bought so that daddy could carve it.
Payton was a bumble bee for Halloween, which was very fitting for her. She loved her costume and actually didn't want to take it off. We went over to Nana and Pop's house for a little get together. We let the kids walk around the house and go to the front door to let them feel like they were trick-or-treating.

We then made one final stop at Trippi and Lisa's. Unfortunately Lisa wasn't there, but of course Uncle Trippi made sure Payton got some candy.
