Anderson's 1 Year pictures

One year (or thirteen months)... close enough! I took these pictures one random Sunday afternoon. I can't stand how big he is.

The boy loves the golf cart. The whole reason we went outside in the first place is because he was standing at the window grunting and pointing at the golf cart.

Someone please tell me how that face doesn't melt your heart???

and those curls...

We haven't done any formal pictures since he was about 9 months so these will count as his official one year pictures. Slow down, sweet boy!

Harper is becoming such a big girl!

I received this picture from one of Harper's sweet preschool teachers on Friday. I just adore it. She has gotten so big, so fast I feel like. You can never predict what she will say, and she has such an independent spunky personality. She loves to choose her own clothes, which typically includes her boots-even if she is wearing Nike shorts. She is the pickiest eater ever, and loves to "nuggle." She will never let you help her with something at first, she always has to try it on her own first. We just adore this little peanut to pieces! Slow your growing, sweet girl!

Beach trip for Ella's Party

The weekend after Labor Day we hit the road right after school headed to Orange Beach. Nana and Pop got a condo at the Caribe for us to stay, and Ella's party was Saturday afternoon. The Caribe was just as much fun as I expected. Unfortunately, I never got any pictures on the water slides, but they were definitely a hit with the big kids. By big I mean 5-6 year olds as well as the males 30 and up. :) I  did go down once, and it was pretty exciting. We played a good bit of the day Saturday swimming. We took a little rest and got ready for Ella's 6th birthday party at The Track. It was a huge hit. You can see all three driving some sort of game in the arcade below.
Although Anderson couldn't ride many of the rides besides the carousel, he was happy as can be walking around on his own. (notice the spot under his nose- Friday morning at around 6:15 he fell on something in the garage and got a bloody nose. ) He's a mess!

The big girls waiting for the swing.

These babies make my heart want to explode. They are just precious. I should add how well behaved everyone was for the trip! Maybe minus Anderson in the car.

All 6 cousins having a blast!

Too much fun for this guy.

We swam Sunday morning before gathering everything up. We had to make a detour in Navarre Beach before actually heading home, so we rolled in about 9:30 Sunday night, only to have Monday knock us right down. It was a wonderful, quick weekend, but we had a blast!

War Eagle!

Payton has been asking for a while when fall was coming so we would have Auburn football. The Friday before the Arkansas game, Payton and I picked out Auburn attire for everyone to wear!
Jonathan and I ended up going to the game, which left Payton without a ticket. That didn't go over well. She has been promised to go very soon!

For the second game, we were heading out of town that Friday afternoon for Ella's party in Orange Beach. The girls decided they wanted to wear their AU cheerleader outfits anyways.

Maybe I'm biased, but I think these Auburn cuties just might be what's bringing us good luck so far!

Beginning of Another Year of Preschool!

This year Harper will be in Mrs. Carmello and Mrs. Matz's 3 year old, 3 day a week preschool. These are her same teachers she had last year, whom she adores. Anderson will go to Mrs. Hackett and Mrs. Jones' 1 year old, 2 day a week class. Although he's been to CDO, this is his first time in real preschool! They had Meet the Teacher the Tuesday after Labor Day. Harper of course already knew her teachers and is in the same classroom, and Mrs. Hackett was actually Harper's summer enrichment teacher, so we kind of already knew her also!
Bamama took them since Mommy and Daddy were at work. Apparently Anderson was a little apprehensive, but then found some fun toys.

Anderson and Mrs. Hackett

Next stop was to Harper's room to see Mrs. Carmello and Mrs. Matz.

Their first day was the next day. We took our first day of school pictures before heading out the door.

Notice Anderson's bruise on his face. It was actually worse than this picture makes it look! He fell into the propane tank at the lake during Labor Day weekend. He had a huge bruise straight across his cheek.

I love this picture!

They both had a great first day! We are so thankful for their precious teachers and preschool!

Anderson at 12 months

These pictures were taken on Anderson's actual birthday while breakfast was being served at 6am. He wouldn't stand still for a picture, so sissy had to hold him down.

We went to the doctor back in August to get his stats and a checkup:
Weight: 21 lb, 8 oz (54%)
Height: 29.75 in (46%)
Head: 18.8 in (90%)
Somehow this sweet boy still only has 4 teeth (2 on top and 2 on bottom). He has huge knots on top and bottom where it appears his molars are about to come in, but it's been that way for a while. No worries, that hasn't stopped him from eating. He is our best eater yet. A Gerber cereal bar is just a breakfast appetizer for this growing boy. The nice thing is that right now he pretty much eats big meals, which keeps him from grazing all day and snacking on junk. He's also a great sleeper! If he has it his way, he's in bed around 7:30. When given the chance, he loves to sleep in. He's even slept til 9 and 10 a time or two! Talk about CRAZY! The girls have internal alarm clocks that go off at 6am sharp! He transitioned off of bottles pretty easily and took right to a sippy cup. As expected, getting down to one afternoon nap has been a little tricky, but on days he goes to school Mom puts him down for a nap early about 7:30 before he goes to school. His all boy personality has come out this past month. He loves balls, playing outside, and exploring anything he can explore. His sweet curls are to die for! He has been a little rough, but I blame some of that on Payton and Harper and wrestling him (which he loves)! His nickname is bruiser. That sweet little face keeps some type of bruise or knot on it these days. I just can't believe he's not our tiny little baby any more, but then again he's so much fun right now!
