Happy 3rd birthday to mommy's pumpkin and daddy's monkey! We are so blessed to be your mommy and daddy. You have changed our lives in ways that we didn't know were possible and given us the most important role of our lives...being parents. We love you so much and can't believe that you are three years old! **Payton's birthday isn't until tomorrow but I have a terribly busy day tomorrow. My priority will be spending every minute possible with my birthday girl, not blogging.
for Payton's birthday! We had Payton's party on Saturday. There was lots of jumping, fun, friends and family to help celebrate. We had her party at my school again. Due to the weather, we ended up inside but it turned out great! There was plenty of space for the kids to run wild, jump, and play with P.E. toys. We are so thankful for everyone who took time out of their weekend to help Payton celebrate. We had so many people helping out from picking up the cake and pizza, getting balloons, helping tag team Harper throughout the party, keeping the girls before and after, cleaning up, etc. I think it was a huge success and most importantly, I think the kids had a blast.
Our little Harper bug turned 7 months about a week ago. This month has been full of many changes. Size: We didn't go to the dr. this month so we don't have exact measurements. She is wearing 6 months clothes and in size 3 diapers. This baby loves to give kisses. She will grab your face on both sides and pull you in. Sweetest. thing. ever. Eating: She is pretty much eating three times a day now. She gets fruit and cereal in the morning, and veggies, dinners and fruit at the other feedings. She typically takes 4 six ounce bottles a day now. She also tried puffs for the first time the other day. She's not completely convinced just yet. She still doesn't have any teeth! They are definitely on their way (although I know I've been saying that for months). Tricks: This baby is everywhere! She started crawling a few weeks ago, and she has done nothing but take off. She has finally figured out that her crawling can get her where she wants to go, not just to a toy. Her speed is also quite impressive. Within two weeks of crawling she was pulling up on things. We finally had to lower her crib because we were so worried. She is starting to get into things, loves finding Payton's toys that she can't have, and keeps us busy. We've taken advantage of this beautiful winter weather and enjoyed time outside. If you remember from when Harper was a newborn, Payton has been anxiously anticipating the day that she could take a bath with Harper. Amy let us borrow this cool bath seat. They both love it! Harper slashes like crazy and Payton giggles with delight.
