Christmas Day

Santa made a delivery when the girls went to bed. On our way to bed that night, Payton kept saying that she heard something and she was so worried it was Santa. We told her that Santa wouldn't leave presents until she was asleep so she was afraid she might get skipped.

These girls were so tired from the night before that they didn't wake up until about 6:45 when we daddy couldn't wait any longer.

The butterfly pillow was definitely the hit for Payton. She spied one back in June at a furniture store and she hasn't stopped talking about it since. I love the simplicity of a three year old.

The hit for Harper was the box of mum mum's. 

Payton had a special gift just for daddy that she wrapped all by herself. Daddy will be taking her to Daddy Daughter Date Night in February!

After seeing what Santa brought we headed over to Nana and Pop's again to see everyone. When we got there Harper was a little overwhelmed not wanting to open any presents. She only wanted to play with Chase's cash register.

Payton on the other hand jumped right in.

Daddy was so excited about it his griddle that has been on his wish list for a few years. We can't wait to enjoy yummy food off of it.

Breakfast time! All five grandchildren eating breakfast at Nana and Pop's house. We are so excited about bookshelves for our playroom from Nana and Pop!

We then loaded up again and headed to Bamama and Grandaddy's house. The girls were once again spoiled with gifts galore.

After finishing at their house, it was time to head to Great Bamama's house for a yummy late breakfast and dirty Santa.

We didn't take the camera out anymore after leaving there. We headed home to get good naps while it rained and then went back to Nana and Pop's house for Christmas dinner. We have had so much fun staying home for the past few days slowly but surely getting to play with all of our new toys. Thank you so much to everyone who spoiled the girls rotten. Oh, and I forgot to mention Mommy got pretty spoiled this Christmas also! Jonathan is taking me to Mexico in March!!!!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve festivities began at my parent's house. We always go there for an early snack dinner with my entire family. 

Payton made baby Jesus cupcakes for his birthday and she was so proud to share them!

After leaving my parent's house we headed to Nana and Pop's house for a bit. This picture of the three big kids just cracks me up. So typical.

After hanging out there for a while we headed home with two tired girls who fell asleep on the way (of course it was almost 10:00 at this point). They woke up to open their Christmas pajamas from mommy and daddy and spread reindeer food in the front yard.

Payton and I read T'was the Night Before Christmas (for the second time that day) while sister headed off to bed.

December fun!

In my previous "catch up" post I wrote about all of the fun that we have had this month. It hasn't slowed down since. December 10 was Great Bamama's birthday. We had everyone over at our house to celebrate. Since I couldn't get a good picture of her with both the girls, I included both. If only I could photoshop...

Payton's last day of preschool before the break they had a precious Christmas program. The children in her class dressed up like different animals from the Christmas story. After the fiasco at Thanksgiving, I was a little worried. We have talked about her costume, practiced the songs over and over again in the car, but I still wasn't confident. What do you know, she surprised us all! She was front and center. She stood up there like such a big girl singing the songs and doing all of the motions. We were SO proud of her!

After the program they completed A Journey to Bethlehem where they had fun crafts and rotations. The first stop was making cookies.

They also made two Christmas ornaments and listened to a Christmas story in her classroom.

That Thursday we went to Callaway Gardens to see Fantasy in Lights. We hadn't been in several years and we just knew the girls would love it. Of course it didn't disappoint, but Harper fell asleep half way through since it was so late and past her bedtime. Sleeping is much better than a screaming baby on a trolly full of people though. :)

Saturday before Christmas we had Jonathan's dad's side of the family over for Christmas. Of course I started taking pictures before I realized the camera wasn't on the correct setting.

This picture is so typical it makes me laugh.

Sunday night Trippi and Lisa came over to exchange gifts. I adore the way the Harper is so patiently waiting for her daddy to put her toy together.
